სკოლაში შესვლის მსურველთა ასაკი კიდევ ერთხელ იცვლება. ზოგადი განათლების შესახებ კანონის მიხედვით, მომავალი სასწავლო წლიდან 1-ლ კლასში შესვლა იმ ბავშვებსაც შეეძლებათ, რომლებსაც 6 წელი სწავლის დაწყების თარიღიდან 31 დეკემბრის ჩათვლით შეუსრულდებათ.

,,ზოგადი განათლების დაწყებით საფეხურზე სწავლის დაწყების ასაკია 6 წელი, რომელიც პირს სასწავლო წლის დაწყების თარიღის ჩათვლით უსრულდება. ამასთანავე პირს, რომელსაც 6 წელი სასწავლო წლის დაწყების თარიღის მომდევნო დღიდან 31 დეკემბრის ჩათვლით უსრულდება, უფლება აქვს მშობლის გადაწყვეტილებით, ნებაყოფლობით დაიწყოს სწავლა ზოგადი განათლების დაწყებით საფეხურზე" - აღნიშნულია ბრძანებაში.
